Day 1 – Lima City Tour with a Visit to Huaca Pucllana

After you set foot on Peruvian soil, our staff will welcome you in the lobby of Lima’s Jorge Chavez Airport and transfer you to your hotel. After a rest, we will visit the most interesting sites in the “City of Kings”: the Cathedral, Pizarro’s Tomb, the Catacombs of San Francisco, passing by the Congress, and the Torre Tagle Palace. You will then visit the residential areas of Orrantia, San Isidro, and Miraflores, where we will visit the recently restored Huaca Pucllana ruins. You will also visit Barranco, where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Next, you will visit the Rafael Larco Herrera Museum, where you will find a large collection of pre-Incan ceramics, including the world’s largest collection of erotic huacos. Overnight at your selected hotel in Lima.

Day 2 – City Tour in Cusco

After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up and take you to the Lima airport. There, you will check in and board a one-hour flight to Cusco, the Archaeological Capital of the Americas. Our staff will welcome you and transfer you from the Cusco airport to your selected hotel, where you will enjoy coca tea. After lunch, at 1:00 PM, we will begin the guided tour, which includes visits to the center of the ancient city of Cusco, the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Monastery of Santo Domingo, the Temple of Koricancha, and the nearby ruins of Kenko, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay, and the Sacsayhuaman fortress. The fortress was built with enormous rocks. Their movement and use remain a mystery, as there are no stone quarries in the area.

Day 3 – Free day in Machu Picchu “The Lost City of the Incas”

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco one hour before your train departs and take you to the train station in the town of Poroy. You will then board the PERU RAIL train and begin the 4-hour journey from Poroy to Cusco to the town of Aguas Calientes (2,000 meters above sea level). Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will head to your hotel. Our guide will meet you at night to provide you with information about your tour. You can visit the hot springs or purchase local handicrafts if you wish.

Day 4 – Sunrise View of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu

After waking up very early and having breakfast, we will climb to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and appreciate the spectacular sunrise. Afterward, we will take a 3-hour tour of the citadel with our guide. During the tour, you will visit the most important sites of the city, such as: the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sundial, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Cemeteries. We will conclude with a tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu. Optionally, you can trek to the summit of Huayna Picchu, which will take approximately 2 hours round trip (this tour is not guided). We will then take the bus to Aguas Calientes and, in the afternoon, take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting for you to transport you by bus to Cusco and take you to your hotel. Day 5 – Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas

This day, we will tour the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We begin at 8:30 a.m., picking you up from your hotel and heading to Pisaq, a typical market with picturesque mountain terraces. We will visit the Pisaq archaeological site. It is also famous for its fairs, where you can buy beautiful handicrafts. Afterward, we will head to Urubamba, where lunch is included. We will then head to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, where descendants of the Incas live in Inca homes. Finally, we will head to Chinchero to see its market and the archaeological site, with its typical Spanish overlays on the Inca buildings. The tour will end around 7:00 p.m. in Cusco’s Plaza de Armas. We will spend the night at a selected hotel in Cusco.

Day 6 – Sightseeing trip from Cusco to Puno visiting “Raqchi”

After a hearty breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the bus station. We will take you on a tour lasting approximately 8 hours. We will include four excursions and guided tours to the tourist attractions of the southern corridor of the Altiplano, visiting the Andahuaylillas Temple (the Sistine Chapel of America) and the Inca temple of Raqchi. At midday in the city of Sicuani, a buffet lunch will be included in the tour. From there, we will continue the tour, reaching the Raya Pass at 4,335 meters above sea level and the Inca Aymara museum of Pukara. Each tour lasts 20 to 40 minutes, where passengers can ask questions, take photos, and walk around, making our excursions a pleasant experience. Upon arrival in Puno, our staff will be waiting for us and will take us to the hotel where we will spend the night.

Day 7 – Tour to Lake Titicaca, the Uros Islands, and Taquile

In the morning, we will take a trip across Lake Titicaca. Our first stop will be the Uros Floating Islands. These islands are built with layers of totora reeds, and are important as homes and as a center for selling handicrafts, which benefit the locals, who travel around on their own handmade rafts. We will continue our tour to Taquile Island, where the locals cheerfully welcome tourists, still maintaining their customs, traditions, and colorful traditional costumes. At the end of this tour, you will be taken to the dock in Puno. Our staff will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Day 8 – Sillustani Chullpas and Flight from Juliaca to Lima

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a few hours to explore Puno’s city center. At a time indicated, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Sillustani Chullpas, pre-Inca circular funerary towers, the tallest of which is approximately 12 meters high. We will then head to Juliaca Airport, an hour from Puno. There, you will check in at the airport counter and board your flight to Lima. Once again at the Lima airport, we will be waiting for you with a note with your name on it, and then transfer you to your selected hotel in Lima. You will spend the night at the hotel.

Day 9 – Bus Trip from Lima to Nazca

We must wake up early. After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to the bus terminal of the tour company that will take us from Lima to Nazca. The trip will take approximately 6 hours. We will arrive in the city of Nazca, where our staff will be waiting for us as usual with a sign with your name on it. After welcoming you once again, we will transfer you to the hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 10 – Flight to the Nazca Lines

After breakfast in the morning, we will transfer you to the Nazca airport for a 45-minute flight over the Nazca Plains, where the ancient pre-Incas drew gigantic figures of animals and plants for a purpose yet to be discovered. Many believe these figures were made by extraterrestrials, including monkeys, spiders, hummingbirds, and more. Then, we will visit the Chauchillas Cemetery. In the afternoon, we will take a bus to Paracas, a city 3 hours from Nazca. In Paracas, our staff will be waiting to welcome you and take you to your hotel.

Day 11 – Tour to the Ballestas Islands and the Paracas Reserve

After breakfast, we will transfer to the port of Paracas, where we will begin the tour to the Ballestas Islands, passing by “El Candelabro,” a gigantic image on the side of a hill. Upon arrival at the Ballestas Islands, we will visit the different islands for two hours, observing the different species of sea lions, seals, penguins, and guano birds. After arriving at the port, we will take the tour to the Paracas Reserve. In the afternoon, we will head to Paracas, from where we will take the bus to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, we will wait for you at the bus terminal and transfer you to the airport to make arrangements for your flight to your country. There, we will say goodbye.
