Itinerary
First day:
- Welcome at Cusco airport and transfer to your hotel (morning).
- Coca tea at the hotel.
- Cusco City Tour: Cathedral, Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay (1:00 PM – 6:30 PM).
- Overnight at your selected hotel in Cusco.
Second day:
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. (Visit Pisac and Ollantaytambo, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
- Buffet lunch in the Sacred Valley.
- Inka Rail train journey from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (from 4:36 PM to 6:09 PM)
- Overnight stay in a hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).
Third day:
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- 5:30 a.m. Bus ride up to Machu Picchu.
- 6:00 a.m. Sunrise view of Machu Picchu.
- Guided tour of Machu Picchu (7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.).
- Optional: Hike to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (unguided).
- Bus ride down to Aguas Calientes.
- Lunch in Aguas Calientes.
- In the afternoon, return by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (7:00 p.m. to 8:32 p.m.).
- Bus ride from Ollantaytambo to Cusco (8:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.).
- Transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
Fourth day:
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer from the hotel to the Cusco airport and farewell.
Important – From January to April, Inka Rail and Peru Rail services depart from and arrive at the Ollantaytambo or Pachar stations (2 hours from Cusco).

Program
Day 1 – Arrival and City Tour of Cusco
Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, we will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name. We will then transfer you to your selected hotel, where you can rest for an hour and enjoy a coca tea. In the afternoon, we will pick you up around 1:00 PM to begin the tour of Cusco and its surroundings. We will visit the historic center of Cusco, including the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Monastery of Santo Domingo, the Koricancha Temple, and the nearby ruins of Kenko, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay, and the Sacsayhuaman fortress. Sacsayhuaman was built with enormous stones, and the method of their transport and use remains a mystery, as there are no stone quarries in the area.
Day 2 – Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour
Today we will tour the Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting at 8:30 AM with a pick-up from your hotel. We will then head to Pisac, a typical market town with picturesque terraced fields carved into the mountainside. We will visit the Pisac archaeological site, also famous for its markets where you can buy beautiful handicrafts. Afterward, we will travel to Urubamba, where a buffet lunch is included. Next, we will visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, where descendants of the Incas live in the Inca houses. Finally, we will go to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train departing at 4:36 PM for Aguas Calientes, arriving around 6:09 PM. Overnight stay at your selected hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).
Day 3 – Machu Picchu Day Tour
After waking up very early and having breakfast, we will ascend to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and witness the spectacular sunrise over this wonder. Following this, we will embark on a two-hour guided tour of the citadel, visiting the most important sites, including the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries. After the tour of Machu Picchu, you have the option to trek to the summit of Huayna Picchu or the Mountain sector. This trek will take a few hours, during which you can enjoy the scenery and take in some breathtaking views (this hike is unguided). Afterward, we will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, and in the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting to transfer you by bus to Cusco and take you to your hotel. Day 4 – Farewell
After a good breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Cusco Airport, which is just a few minutes from the city center. We need to arrive at least an hour early to confirm your flight. After checking in with the airline and paying the airport tax, we will say goodbye and you will board your flight from Cusco to Lima.
