Program

Pisac Archaeological Complex

The Pisac archaeological complex is situated atop a mountain overlooking much of the Sacred Valley. This magnificent site comprises groups of terraces and architectural structures scattered across the slopes and summit. Pisac is one of the most beautiful monumental centers in the valley, combining the stunning landscape with the impeccable craftsmanship of its constructions.

Pisac Artisan Market

Located 30 km from the city of Cusco, the main square of Pisac is home to this colorful and lively market, where the most famous Cusco handicrafts, made by Andean hands, are displayed. Among the handicrafts, textiles such as ponchos and bags stand out, as well as ceramic pieces, which are reproductions of Inca archaeological artifacts, such as keros (ceremonial vessels), necklaces, and more. Indigenous merchants and artisans from many villages, dressed in their traditional clothing, come to this market.

Ollantaytambo

Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the afternoon, we will visit the Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions by the inhabitants of the jungle. We will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of the town and thus gain a clear understanding of what this military, religious, and cultural center was like during the Inca Empire.

Chinchero

On the way back to Cusco, we will visit the picturesque village of Chinchero, home to the remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui. You will admire its well-preserved Inca wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial church with its interesting frescoes in the portico, built upon the foundations of an Inca structure. Transfer to your selected hotel in Cusco for overnight accommodation.
