WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • Swimsuit.
  • Shorts, towel, sandals or slippers for entering the river.
  • Hat and sunscreen.
  • Water bottle.
  • Sleeping bag and sleeping mat (MATRA).
  • A small backpack for your personal belongings: documents, some money, sunscreen, a hat.
  • Camera.

The rapids are classified as follows:

Difficulty I-II:
– Easy without risk, somewhat exciting
Difficulty III-IV:
– Good and exciting, with some risk
Difficulty V:
– Very exciting and risky, an additional safety vessel is required; this can be a kayak or a boat. This is the highest level of activity allowed with tourists.
Difficulty VI:
– Extreme risk, canoeing is not permitted.

Program

DAY 1.- CANOEING ON THE VILCANOTA – CUSIPATA RIVER

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in our private transportation. After a two-hour drive, you’ll arrive in Cusipata, where our private campsite is located. Upon arrival at our private campsite, we’ll provide you with all your personal rafting equipment, including life jackets, a rain jacket, a wetsuit, and a helmet. Our guides will give you a safety briefing and instructions on how to raft Class II rapids. After a two-and-a-half-hour rafting trip down the river, our transportation will return you to camp. Lunch will be served at the campsite, followed by a scenic hike. Afterward, we’ll rest at our “CASA CUSI,” a camping area with a comfortable dining area, sauna, jacuzzi, hammocks, and excellent food. At night, you’ll sleep to the murmur of the river.

Day 2.- CANOEING ON THE CHUQUICAHUANA RIVER

After a relaxing sauna and a good night’s rest, we’ll enjoy a healthy breakfast and head to the Chuquicahuana section of the river, where we’ll ride the Class III rapids. You’ll enjoy a two-hour adventure on the river. At the end of the excursion, we have a buffet lunch on the riverbank, consisting of a variety of dishes tailored to your needs, as well as soft drinks, mate, and more. After lunch, you can enjoy the sauna, and then we’ll return to Cusco, arriving at 4:30 p.m.
