First Day:
- Transfer from your hotel in Lima to the bus station.
- Bus ride from Lima to Huaraz (Departure 1:00 PM / 8-hour journey).
- Welcome and transfer to your hotel in Huaraz.
- Overnight at selected hotel in Huaraz.
Second Day:

- Tour to the Callejón de Huaylas and visit to Llanganuco Lagoon.

Program
Day 1 – BUS TRIP FROM LIMA TO HUARAZ
At 1:00 PM, we will transfer you from your hotel in Lima to the bus terminal to board the bus to Huaraz. The trip takes approximately 8 hours. Upon arrival in Huaraz, our staff will welcome you and transfer you back to your hotel for a rest stop.
Day 2 – TOUR TO THE CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS AND LLANGANUCO LAGOON
We will have breakfast at the hotel and at 9:30 a.m., we will begin the tour to the Callejón de Huaylas, passing through the Andean villages of Carhuaz (tasting of natural fruit ice cream and liqueur), Tinco, Mancos, Yungay (Campo Santo de Yungay), and finally arriving at Huascarán National Park. We will visit the famous Llanganuco Lagoons (Chinacocha and Orcocha), where you can ride a horse or boat, and take a short hike around these two lagoons, contemplating the majesty of the snow-capped mountains Huascarán, Yanapaccha, Paracas, and Huandoy, as well as the wildlife surrounding them. Here, local residents sell typical regional products. Continuing the tour, we will visit the town of Caraz (lunch). There, you can visit small factories producing dairy products and other regional products, such as manjar blanco (white manjar), fruit and liqueur ice cream, honey, jelly, cheeses, quesillos (small cheeses), butter, pork ham legs, specialty breads, and more. In the afternoon, we will return to Huaraz, where we will spend the night at the selected hotel. (Photo: Llanganuco Lagoon).
Day 3 – TOUR TO THE CHAVIN DE HUANTAR TEMPLE
Early in the morning, we will take an excursion to the most representative Ceremonial Center of Peruvian High Culture, approximately 3,000 years old. Along the way, you will visit the villages of Callejón de Huaylas and the Conchucos Valley, passing through Recuay, Ticapampa, and Cátac, before arriving at Querococha Lagoon. The tour continues, this time passing through the impressive Cahuish Tunnel (4,550 meters above sea level and 480 meters long). We will then descend into the Mosna River valley to reach Chavín, where we will visit the archaeological complex, which is made up of a group of truncated pyramid-shaped stone buildings with superimposed platforms and sunken plazas connected by stairways. The buildings have intricately designed interior galleries, one of which houses the “Lanzón”, a 4.50-metre-high monolith representing the main deity of Chavín. Day 4 – CITY TOUR IN HUARAZ AND RETURN TO LIMA
We will have breakfast at the hotel and at 9:30 a.m., we will begin the tour of the city of Huaraz and its surroundings. We will visit the Plaza de Armas, the Ancash Archaeological Museum (the largest stone museum in the Americas), the Church of Señor de la Soledad, Jr. José Olaya (a typical street in Huaraz), the Huaraz viewpoint, and the Monterrey hot springs. In the afternoon, we will board the bus that will take us back to Lima. We will depart at 1:00 p.m. and arrive in Lima around 9:00 p.m. Our staff will be waiting for you and will transfer you back to your hotel. (Photo: The Cordillera Blanca and the Huascarán Mountains).
