There are six categories or types of trains for the tour or trip to Machu Picchu for foreigners and one for Peruvians. You can book tours or tickets on these trains:
Important – During the months of January and April, Inka Rail and Peru Rail services depart and arrive at the Ollantaytambo or Pachar stations (2 hours from the city of Cusco).
Our tour prices include transfers to these stations.

PERU RAIL TRAIN SERVICE
1.- EXPEDITION TRAIN (NEW SERVICE)
Designed exclusively for passengers with an adventurous spirit, who also seek comfort and safety. The Expedition service has remodeled its seats with tapestries featuring Inca motifs, giving them a very local and indigenous touch, as well as the convenience of having ample space for their backpacks.

2.- VISTADOME TRAIN
The fastest and most comfortable way to visit Machu Picchu. During the trip, you can enjoy delicious snacks and hot and cold drinks. Recently renovated carriages are equipped with panoramic windows that allow you to enjoy spectacular views and take wonderful photographs.

3.- HIRAM BINGHAM LUXURY TRAIN
It has two cars with 42 passenger spaces, a bar car, and a kitchen car for food preparation. Among the many exquisite design details of the cars are the large, comfortable seats and extra-wide tables. Almost 3 meters longer and 30 cm wider than others on the same route, these cars are among the most spacious and comfortable in the world.

4.- LOCAL TRAIN
This is a subsidized train with five passenger and freight cars. These are for the sole and exclusive use of Peruvian passengers. Boarding is only permitted if you have a valid DNI (national identity document). These cars are not very comfortable, and passengers and freight sometimes travel in the aisles.
